Julie, this is probably premature because I’m not finished yet, but the realness is the part I like the best. The language is so true. I hate reading the fake southern stuff that just sounds so cliche’. You had me at Andy Capp Hot Fries and “I’ll swan”! This is one of the very few books I’ve ever read that got it right. I can’t wait to share this book with others. I’ve already told my sister she has to read it. So glad there were no spoilers in this post.

Julie!! Thanks for stopping by my blog and saying hello, and when I came to visit you I found out that you’d written the Romance Readers Bookclub which I loved! I bought it before we moved to Laos as a fun book to take with me and read it shortly after we got here, so it’s been read on this side of the world within the last two years. How fun. Wow, Julie! What a inspiring testimony. I like how you said, “The Bible says to give thanks in everything (not for everything).” That’s so true. I don’t like some of things I have gone through, but I still wouldn’t change anything. God truly does work all things together for our good.

Hi Sylvia,
Thanks for passing my story along! I don’t have any current plans to write another WWII book, but I’d be both glad and sad to do that because it literally broke my heart as I was researching it, but also gave me a profound sense of respect and gratitude for all those who served. The book I’m currently working on is current day and is set in Nashville, Tennessee.
